CQ: Is physician assisted suicide morally acceptable?

3 field work projects: I interviewed two people and did a survey on Facebook using my mom’s Facebook account. The categories I used were interview and participation.

I chose my topic, physician assisted suicide, because a lot of my family members are getting older and I may have to deal with this issue sometime in the future. My goal was to learn as much as I can about the subject so I could help my family if they ever needed it. I found out that physician assisted suicide is actually already legal in 8 states in the United States. So I had to change the whole concept of my paper to reflect that. The more research I’ve done on this subject, the more I have had to change it. It is such a broad topic that it was a challenge for me to narrow down my focus. I ended up sticking with the thesis that physician assisted suicide is morally acceptable and that it should be legalized in every state in the United States. I’m glad I chose this topic because I did learn a lot about it and I’m confident that I could help my older family members if they were ever in the position to want some information about physician assisted suicide. I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on the class. It was a lot of work but I learned a lot and I feel that my writing skills have improved from all of the writing assignments. So I’d like to thank the teacher for giving me the opportunity to work on and improve my writing skills. I also want to say good-bye to my teacher and fellow classmates since I won’t get to do it in person. I hope everyone enjoys the upcoming holidays and I hope everyone will have a great year in 2020!
